THE POSTER IS DEAD! LONG LIVE THE POSTER

This was a joint project i took part in with students from Westerdals (Oslo) Graphic Design. Our task was to challenge the notion of the poster. We came up with the idea of a poster that could spread itself and be spread by other people, quite like a plant spreading it's seeds so it can grow in an alternative location and continue it's existence.

We produced 6 Posters in different iconic poster styles from throughout history, Victorian, Contructavist etc. These were then cut up into post it note size and layered up on top of one another, Each segment had the exhibition information on to maximise the message. We then ivied people to play around with the poster, to re arrange it, stick it somewhere else, on other people work. ( note spray mount works amazing as post it note glue). the beauty of this was that no matter where people put the notes or what rude words they spelt with the type the message was still conveyed in an alternative location and spreading it to a wider audience.

It was great fun working with the Westerdals guys and hopefully we can do it again.
